Designed for indoor, outdoor, and onboard use
AXIS F Series offers a range of high-performance modular cameras designed for indoor, outdoor, and onboard surveillance. The series includes two rugged main units, two UL-recognized barebone main units, and five ruggedized sensors. Based on a divided camera concept, the main unit, sensor, and cable (up to 30 m /98 ft.) are chosen based on individual needs for a fully modular and scalable system. The main units can connect up to four different sensor types which can be placed up to 30 m from each other. Compact and discreet, these modular cameras can be installed in tight spaces—ideal for installation in ATMs, banks, stores, and hotels. Thanks to their rugged design, they’re also suitable for onboard applications such as in emergency vehicles, buses, and trucks.
Built on an Axis system-on-chip, these powerful modular cameras offer advanced video processing for great video quality and performance. Thanks to Forensic WDR, they preserve forensic detail when there’s both light and dark areas in a scene. With ruggedized SMA connectors on the sensors and FAKRA connectors on the main units, the series is ideal for high-vibration environments and ensures a tight connection between the cable and sensor as well as the cable and main unit. It’s also possible to completely remove the sensor from the cable for easy maintenance. Plus, with additional cable length options (up to 30m/98ft available), you’re free to design a modular camera solution based on your specific needs.
Pre-installed on all AXIS F Series Main Units, AXIS Sensor Metrics Dashboard gathers information from a wide range of various internal and external sensors. It’s possible to connect an external GPS sensor to the F91 main unit and gain access to data such as speeds and coordinates. You can also connect external Modbus sensors such as temperature and humidity sensors. Thanks to a built-in accelerometer, you can extract driving data, for instance, about braking, cornering, and acceleration. All collected data can be visualized in an overlay on a video stream or exported as a .csv file. Data can also be used to trigger events based on specific user-defined thresholds.
AXIS F Series offers lower acquisition costs and an improved total cost of ownership compared to conventional camera solutions. For instance, a 4-channel main unit requires only one video management software (VMS) license instead of four. These cameras also lower the cost of network switches as the number of ports required can be reduced. AXIS F Series ensures flexible installation and lower maintenance and upgrade costs. For instance, the sensor can be integrated into machinery, and when maintenance or upgrade is needed, the cable can be left in place. So, you can quickly remove the sensor or main unit and update or replace them when needed.
