AXIS StorPoint DISCO includes an application launcher that allows you to create and use launch objects. These launch objects are similar to Windows shortcuts, but they have much more functionality. A launch object can:

Troubleshooting

Problem: When trying to search the NetWare Network on Windows 95/98 with the Microsoft NetWare Client, the search will fail unless the Microsoft NDS Service is installed.
Solution: Install the NDS Service. For Windows 98, this service is available on your Windows 98 CD. For Windows 95, go to the Microsoft Web site:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q138/7/09.asp

Problem: If you are using the Microsoft NetWare Client and Windows 98, you may experience a system crash when browsing for a destination folder during installation.
Solution: Accept the suggested folder, or manually write the destination folder of your choice. For more information about this problem, go to the Microsoft Web site:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q192/2/49.asp

Problem: AXIS StorPoint DISCO does not display all the discs that reside on storage servers with firmware version 3.x or 4.x.
Solution: Storage servers that are using firmware version 3.x and 4.x do not handle share names with more than 12 characters correctly. For this reason, AXIS StorPoint DISCO will not display such discs. In firmware version 5.00, this problem has been corrected.
