New features in version 1.00 ============================ 1. First AXIS StorPoint NAS 100 release. 2. Mirroring (RAID-1). 3. Remote administration and trusted domains in Windows NT. 4. Flash loading using drag and drop. 5. FTP server. Corrected problems in version 1.00 ================================== 1. N/a. Known problems in version 1.00 ============================== 1. CIFS: Security permissions set by W2000 cannot be used by Win9x. You get access denied when trying to read files from a Win9x client. Workaround: Set security permissions with a Windows NT4 instead. 2. CIFS User Manager tool: The function of creating home directories for users is not fully supported. The user is not given exclusive rights. Instead the directories inherit security permissions from its' parent. 3. CIFS: If using Service Pack 3 or lower, taking ownership doesn't work for a non-admin user even if he has taken ownership rights. Workaround: Install Service Pack 4 or higher. 4. NFS: The NFS protocol is disabled by default and can in this release not be enabled through the Web interface of the StorPoint NAS 100. 5. NetWare: Netware Bindery is by default disabled in this release. If enabling NetWare Bindery mode, all users have full access to all volumes. 6. NetWare: The Netware Filer administration program does not work correctly with the StorPoint NAS 100. 7. NetWare: During installation in NDS using the installation Wizard in the Web administration interface, using the back button may cause installation to fail. 8. NetWare: NCP burst mode is disabled by default. If using the StorPoint NAS 100 simultaneously with NetWare and CIFS, enabling NCP burst might cause communication failure. 9. NetWare: If installation is done in a new tree (no prior schema extensions), the config.ini file has to be used instead of the Web wizard. 10. Volume management: After a factory default, the share name of the volumes might differ from the actual volume name. Best regards, Axis Communications.
