Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named howtoupgrade.txt. Release 5.55.1 =============== New/Modified Features ===================== 5.55.1:F01 Local Language Support, ability to change the cameras user interface to other languages than English. 5.55.1:F02 Edge Storage Disruption Detection, ability to be notified when Edge Storage detects disruptions that may need administrative attention, typically disk unavailable, read/write error, disk full or disk locked. 5.55.1:F03 Text Overlay character set extension, ability to use non-western characters in the video text overlay. Note that Right-to-left languages (e.g. Arabic) are not supported. 5.55.1:F04 Text Overlay Font Size, ability to select three different font sizes for the video text overlay in order to increase readability, especially for high resolution video. 5.55.1:F05 ONVIF Profile S conformance. 5.55.1:F06 Text Overlay Message Action, a camera action that provides a way to display in the image a user defined message in the text overlay upon a detected event. 5.55.1:F07 Email/SSL Recipient, ability for the camera to connect to common email services. The camera includes predefined profiles for e.g. Gmail and Hotmail. 5.55.1:F08 HTTPS Recipient, systems using HTTP notifications from the camera can now do this in a secure way over HTTPS. 5.55.1:F09 Upload Video Clip Action, ability to upload a video clip to an FTP server or an email recipient upon an event. Note that a media player with support for H.264 and Matroska File Format (MKV) is required to play the clip. 5.55.1:F10 Live Stream Access Detection, it is now possible to notify people that someone is actively monitoring a camera. 5.55.1:F11 Edge Storage Device Redundancy, ability to automatically switch recording device between SD Card and NAS if one device detects disruption. 5.55.1:F12 System Ready Event, ability to get notified when the camera has booted and all services are initialized. 5.55.1:F13 Virtual Inputs, used by clients to initiate Action Rules in the camera. Virtual Inputs extends the existing "Manual Trigger" with 32 additional virtual inputs which could be executed through the webservice API. 5.55.1:F14 AXIS ACAP Applications, the behavior for AXIS Cross Line Detection 1.x and AXIS Video Motion Detection 2.x has been improved making it less prone to false detection on small objects. 5.55.1:F15 Centralized Certificate Management, certificates for HTTPS and 802.1x are now managed in one place. The firmware also includes a number of pre-installed CA certificates such as Verisign, Thawt and GeoTrust. 5.55.1:F16 Improved Constant Bitrate Control, the Constant Bit Rate (CBR) will now adjust to target bit rate quicker. 5.55.1:F17 SSH (Secure Shell), a command line interface is added to the camera that may be used for specific support and maintenance activities. Note. Not enabled by default. 5.55.1:F18 Remove Camera Modes. Both dewarp and intelligen video support modes are available by default. 5.55.1:F19 Higher resolution in dewarped views. Corrections since 5.40.13.2 =========================== 5.55.1:C01 Daylight saving time now works properly for Iran. 5.55.1:C02 Up to 127 characters can be used in the 'From email address' field. 5.55.1:C03 It is possible to add IP addresses to the IP filter list in the web interface. 5.55.1:C04 It is now possible to use HTTPS and port forwarding. 5.55.1:C05 It is no longer necessary to restart the camera after configuring default router parameter via VAPIX. 5.55.1:C06 Configuration of time zone for Australia appears correctly in the web interface. 5.55.1:C07 Double & (&&) are no longer present in HTTP notifications. The Action rule gives a valid URI. 5.55.1:C08 ONVIF: The Web Services parameter and consequently the information in System Overview relating to whether Web Services is enabled has been removed. ONVIF is enabled by specifying an ONVIF administrator in Security > ONVIF settings. 5.55.1:C09 Accessing the AVHS portal through a proxy is now working. 5.55.1:C10 Date modifiers "%m-%d-%Y" are now formatted correctly when used with folder name, SMTP subject and message. 5.55.1:C11 The error condition encountered when creating two similar action rules (or by a copied action rule) has been fixed. 5.55.1:C12 Network share size will now be displayed as GB if less than TB in the web interface. 5.55.1:C13 Setting Always multicast TTL (Time To Live) to '0' is now working as expected. 5.55.1:C14 Use of IP addresses starting with 169.154.x.x is now properly reserved for link-local addresses. 5.55.1:C15 The #e modifier now displays proper event names. 5.55.1:C16 The Edge Storage disc utilization has been improved, this will also result in increased video retention time especially for larger discs. 5.55.1:C17 The default compression value has been changed, it is tuned more effectively to provide more flexibility for video applications in a wide variety of network environments. To revert to old setting, configure the camera to use compression=26. 5.55.1:C18 Issue where incorrect multicast addresses were used, has been corrected. 5.55.1:C19 It is now possible to use 169.254.x.x as a static IP. 5.55.1:C20 The Log message 'RTSP Login Failed' that relates to client RTSP commands after the nonce has expired has been removed, since the behavior is correct. 5.55.1:C21 Fixed an issue with the Axis Name Service and some router models. 5.55.1:C22 The minimap shall be rotated and mirrored when overview is. 5.55.1:C23 Fixed an issue with the PTZ-center command does not work for view area 1-3 (panorama and split views) even though the camera report support for it. 5.55.1:C24 All the video streams (overview, panorama, double panorama,……..view area 4) should now include the H.264 trigger data correctly. 5.55.1:C25 Fixed tearing issue in the image when changing PTZ position. 5.55.1:C26 Improved SD card recording when using ext4 file system. Known Bugs/Limitations ====================== 5.55.1:L01 No video stream with resolution 240x135 when using java. 5.55.1:L02 Missing warning on language overwrite. 5.55.1:L03 When pressing different buttons on the certificates page you will get script errors and bad web errors. 5.55.1:L04 Not possible to view live or recorded video in Internet Explorer 10 Modern UI in Microsoft Windows 8. 5.55.1:L05 When using limited bandwidth modifier #r shows wrong value. 5.55.1:L06 It might not be possible to activate recordings at a M3007 when upgrading form 5.40 firmware. The SD-card should be formated in this case. 5.55.1:L07 Dynamic textoverlay do not work with camera=2 and upwards. 5.55.1:L08 Video performance might be degraded when network logging and ip address filtering are enabled at the same time. To increase performance disable the log (http://cam_IP/admin/config.shtml?group=Network). 5.55.1:L09 Timezone info in the sending out email header doesn't get updated when changing ‘time zone’ by using web interface. 5.55.1:L10 Removing and reinserting SD card during recording is not recommended. 5.55.1:L11 Multiple simultaneous recordings to SD cards and network shares can degrade the performance of the system. 5.55.1:L12 Windows Network Shares do not handle all modifiers e.g. %c, since modifiers are UNIX standard. 5.55.1:L13 To avoid corrupt recordings, it is recommended to unmount the SD Card before ejecting it. 5.55.1:L14 Video overlay text size is a global setting and can not be set for each stream profile. 5.55.1:L15 If text overlay is more than 460 characters long, no text will be displayed. 5.55.1:L16 Live view does not work with QuickTime player using default settings. Workaround: Disable Direct3D acceleration in Quicktime.
