-- Release 1.10 for the AXIS 700 Network Scan Server --

Today we release a major enhancement to the software for the AXIS
700 Network Scan Server. It will be available free of charge and
all delivered AXIS 700s can be upgraded to it. It fully replaces
version 1.00. Features of the 1.00 software are retained. 

Main highlights are:
- Support for additional scanning devices from Fujitsu, Canon,
Ricoh, Bell+Howell, Avision
- Direct access to e-mail system address books (via LDAP)
- Portable Document Format (PDF)
- Uncompressed TIFF
- Singlepage TIFF
- Completely revamped Web interface
- Uploading of configuration file via FTP
- Centralized/shared address book/configuration file
- Scan-to-URL, involving storage of image and sending URL /
web-link via e-mail
- LCD messages in English, German, French and Spanish
- More paper sizes including photo and business card; possible to
customize
- Sender list, enabling correct reply address
- Secondary/backup mail server
- Better handling of secondary DNS server
This is accompanied with a completely new set of documentation.
