New features in 8.15.1 ================================================================================ 8.15.1:F1 Added ONVIF GetVideoEncoderConfigurationOptions extension. This makes it possible for an ONVIF client to get e.g. the bitrate range of the camera. 8.15.1:F2 It is now possible to specify image rotation via ONVIF video source configuration 8.15.1:F3 Support for new hardware. 8.15.1:F4 The FTP Server is now disabled by default as it is not used during normal operation and may pose a security risk.The FTP Server may be enabled during advanced maintenance or troubleshooting in Settings -> System -> PlainConfig -> Network. 8.15.1:F5 Support for LLDP neighbor announcements. The product can block a client for a period of time if too many login attempts failed. Brute Force Delay Protection can be configured under System -> PlainConfig -> System -> System PreventDoSAttack. 8.15.1:F11 Upon a factory default, the camera will generate a self-signed certificate at boot and enable HTTPS. This allows clients to use encrypted access from start. If HTTPS is to be used in daily operations, it is recommended to replace the generated self-signed certificate with a CA-signed certificate. 8.15.1:F12 The Axis On Screen Crontrols add-on makes it possible for Axis Camera Station (ACS) or a VMS to get information about various features of the camera. This information is available through a JSON API via a CGI. 8.15.1:F13 Apache web server has been updated to version 2.4.25. 8.15.1:F14 OpenSSL has been updated to version 1.0.2k to increase overall minimum cyber security level. 8.15.1:F15 The former user group selections for HTTPS Connection Policy (administrator, operator, viewer) have been merged to one single HTTPS Connection Policy. 8.15.1:F16 Support for AXIS SD card health API. The cameras video stream can be received via secure end-to-end encrypted transportation method only by authorized clients. 8.15.1:F19 Support for Adaptive Resolution. Adaptive Resolution is enabled per default and takes only effect when viewing live stream in the web-interface. The viewing client will receive a image resolution that is adapted or close to the viewing clients real display resolution to higher the user experience. 8.15.1:F20 Support for Flash All/Factory Default while performing a firmware update. Known Bugs/Limitations ================================================================================ 8.15.1:L1 Recording streams to SD Card with total bit rate above 12Mbit/sec may cause missing frames/sequences. 8.15.1:L2 It is recommended to perform a factory default after downgrading the cameras firmware if needed. 8.15.1:L3 It is not possible to upload an image overlay with resolution higher than 1920x1080 or 1080x1920. 8.15.1:L4 Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Barrel Distortion Correction (BDC) cannot be used at the same time even though the web-interface may not reflect this. 8.15.1:L5 The Windows 10 "Film&TV"-player may show a black image at the beginning when playing a video that has been captured from the cameras live view. 8.15.1:L6 Videos recorded using the video capture feature in live view may not be playable or might get stuck in some media players. This was seen e.g. with Windows Media Player. 8.15.1:L7 An overlay text (e.g. date/time modifier) that has been configured in the classic web-interface will be still shown in the new web-interface even though a user might have disabled the overlay text there after firmware update. A user need to disable the overlay text in the Plain config. Untick the checkboxes for Image Ix Text -> ClockEnabled and DateEnabled. 8.15.1:L8 The VAPIX API will always return the state of a IO-port as "input" even if it is configured as "output". 8.15.1:L9 When using the web interface to stream 1080p video with high frame rate, a delay might occur. 8.15.1:L10 Downgrade from 8.15 or higher firmware to 6.50 or lower firmware requires usage of factory default option while downgrading.
