UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
====================

The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management 2.0, HTTP or FTP.
Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at
http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named
howtoupgrade.txt.

New Features/Functionality

5.40.3:F1 Events can now be triggered based on a temperature sensor.

5.40.3:F2 Events can now be triggered based on "Network lost".


Corrections since 5.40.3

5.40.3:C01 Improved image quality for h.264 video streams.

5.40.3:C02 Improved automatic white balance.

5.40.3:C03 Fixed a problem with encoding artifacts in h.264 video in scenes
with a lot of motion.

5.40.3:C04 In an AVHS installation, the clock is now synchronized with the 
AVHS server.

now been fixed.

5.40.3:C19 Fixed a problem with duplicate timestamps in recordings that
would make them impossible to save from Axis Camera Companion.


Known Bug/Limitations
=====================

5.40.3:L01 Removing and reinserting SD card during recording is not
recommendable.

5.40.3:L02 With audio enabled, the initial connection latency is increased.

5.40.3:L03 Check and repair is only available if the file system is ext4.

5.40.3:L04 A combination of a high bandwidth continuous recording and a lot
of small recordings can result in disc full. The automatic clean up will stop
at that point and the user has to manually remove recordings.

5.40.3:L05 If you set max gain to a low value, e.g. 0, the IR cut filter
may not switch back on automatically.

5.40.3:L06 Using modifiers like %c in a network share upload event does not
work.

5.40.3:L07 Local recording playback fails when using Motion JPEG + audio 
with resolution 2048x1536 and higher. Use H.264 instead.

5.40.3:L08 Multiple simultaneous recordings to SD cards and network shares
can degrade the performance of the system.

5.40.3:L09 90 and 270 rotation can cause a drop in frame rate.
