Follow the instructions given in the User Manual, at http://www.axis.com/support/tecnical-notes/how-to-upgrade, or howtoupgrade.txt, which is included in the firmware folder. New Features in 6.30.1 since 5.55.4.1 ===================================== 6.30.1:F1 If Network Share is setup to use DNS host name as host and if the IP address changes after mount, the host name is resolved to current IP address. 6.30.1:F2 Added support for ONVIF standardised I/O events. 6.30.1:F3 Edge storage recording robustness is improved with an automatic database repair feature. 6.30.1:F4 Improved info in server report from software and hardware PoE detection/negotiation. 6.30.1:F5 Max exposure time parameter is now available in the Camera Settings. It can be used in LPR installations when setting Max exposure time shorter than default Max shutter time. 6.30.1:F6 Firmware 5.60 extends the ACAP SDK which gives new possibilities to develop ACAPs. It is also possible to enable multiple ACAP applications to run simultaneously. 6.30.1:F7 Extended SNMP with AXIS Video MIB (Management Information Base). Enables notification of a number of possible disruptions in Axis Products e.g. fan failure, temperature limits, storage disruptions, tampering, video/audio connectors disconnect, via SNMP traps. Available traps depend on the Axis product. A MIB is released for Axis products more information available at: http://www.axis.com/techsup/software/index.htm. 6.30.1:F8 Auto-format an SD card to a specified file system upon insertion. This will allow easy installation of a new SD card that will be formatted automatically to a preselected file system, mounted and then recording will be resumed. 6.30.1:F9 The Export Video Clip capability enables the export of recordings directly from the camera to a PC or a smartphone. Select a portion of an Edge Storage recording from your camera and export as a playable video file to a client. The exported recording will be one playable Matroska file. 6.30.1:F10 SSH command line interface to the products that may be used for specific support and maintenance activities was introduced in 5.50. SSH is now the only supported protocol to establish a connection and telnet is not supported. SSH is not enabled by default but can be activated by an API. 6.30.1:F11 It is now possible to have recurrence in seconds. 6.30.1:F12 SNMP MIB r/w OID values are saved after reboot. 6.30.1:F13 Secure FTP (SFTP) is now supported for a more secure file transfer method. 6.30.1:F14 Edge Storage robustness is improved with features to detect and repair faults due to unexpected loss of storage media. 6.30.1:F15 Storage limit offers a possibility to control how much storage space may be used for recordings. This is available via VAPIX. 6.30.1:F16 Axis network cameras now support NAS drives over 2TB. 6.30.1:F17 AXIS Video Motion Detection 3, which includes Axis False Alarm Filtering, is now a pre-installed ACAP application and replaces the built-in Motion Detection in the product Web GUI. The built-in Motion Detection is still available via VAPIX. Axis strongly recommends current users of the Motion Detection API to plan for transfer to the AXIS Video Motion Detection 3 API, please see the VAPIX Library. 6.30.1:F18 Available ONVIF Media Profiles are now presented and configurable using the product Web GUI. 6.30.1:F19 With SD card Encryption it is now possible to enable encryption of the SD card to protect your data. This encryption is transparent to users and VMS solutions making it possible to activate without adaptations. This feature is presented and configurable both in the Web GUI and via VAPIX. 6.30.1:F20 Improved start-up time. 6.30.1:F21 Removed predefined stream profiles: Quality, HDTV, Balanced, Bandwidth, Mobile. 6.30.1:F22 Upgrade OpenSSL to version 1.0.2d. This version also provides support for TLS 1.2. 6.30.1:F23 Support for ONVIF Profile G. Corrections in 6.30.1 since 5.55.4.1 ==================================== 6.30.1:C1 Fixed a critical security vulnerability. 6.30.1:C2 Improved setup of new video streaming towards network storage after longer connection disruptions. 6.30.1:C3 Improved SD card recording handling. 6.30.1:C4 Improved handling of long overlays of 127 or more characters. 6.30.1:C5 Exposure improvements when enabling custom exposure zones 6.30.1:C6 It is possible to set the RTPS timeout in the URL specifying the stream. 6.30.1:C7 Solve network share mount failures at startup. 6.30.1:C8 Improved robustness for Axis ACAPs. 6.30.1:C9 Improved handling of frequent I/O triggering. 6.30.1:C10 When DST is enabled, export recordings can now be done via web interface. 6.30.1:C11 PullMessages now follow the ONVIF specification 9.1.2. 6.30.1:C12 Possible to use custom stream profile as default in Live View 6.30.1:C13 From the web gui the rule is now triggered on startevent/"signal raise" and not on condition. 6.30.1:C14 Camera is reached through HTTPS when NAT traversal is enabled. 6.30.1:C15 Rectified pulsing of the image in very bright environment. 6.30.1:C16 Improved Privacy mask alignment. 6.30.1:C17 Manual triggers for all enabled View Areas are shown. 6.30.1:C18 Fixed issues with output buttons only working once in IE. 6.30.1:C19 Corrected H264 payloader behaviour to now insert PPS/SPS frames before every I-frame. This will improve behavior, especially with clients that uses multicast. 6.30.1:C20 Led pulse button can now be turned on in Internet Explorer. 6.30.1:C21 Corrected image corruption issue seen in corridor format. 6.30.1:C22 Fixed script error when naming a privacy mask with åäö. 6.30.1:C23 Added ACAP support for NV12 format. 6.30.1:C24 Corrected inverted PT-head movements when using ONVIF. 6.30.1:C25 Improved performance in MOTE and ACAP’s when converting from UYVY to GRAY8(Y800). 6.30.1:C26 If the total bandwidth received from the camera is greater than 90 Mbps all streams might not get an equal share of the network cards maximum throughput. 6.30.1:C27 Fixed issues with stopped events for manual triggered recording. 6.30.1:C28 Date format now displayed correctly in ACM. 6.30.1:C29 Corrected issue with drifting over/under exposed images Known Bugs/Limitations ====================== 6.30.1:L1 The status LED is unlit during the boot-up sequence and then goes steady green when system is ready. 6.30.1:L2 RTSP over TCP may cause choppy video if block size is not optimized or set during video connection. 6.30.1:L3 Recording streams to SD card with a total bit rate above 12Mbit/sec may cause missing frames/sequences. 6.30.1:L4 Text modifiers #x #y #z #Z #L do not work for upload file/folder names, TCP/HTTP notification text or e-mail subject/message. 6.30.1:L5 When downgrading to an older firmware, the root password might be changed back to its default password. 6.30.1:L6 Capture mode change might require a camera restart to get full FoV. 6.30.1:L7 Using identical start and stop time for a scheduled event will never trigger an event. 6.30.1:L8 Some special UTF-8 characters can not be used for privacy mask names.
