FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTE ===================== Products affected: None Release date: 2016-08-31 Release type: Production Firmware version: 6.35.1.2 File name: None Preceding release: None AMC: 7.3.10.0-1 Onvif support: S, G -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This firmware is not affected by the critical security vulnerability (CVE-2016-AXIS-0705 Remote Format String) announced June 29, 2016. Upgrade instructions ===================== Upgrade the firmware with AXIS Camera Management, HTTP, or FTP. Follow the instructions given in the User Manual, at http://www.axis.com/support/tecnical-notes/how-to-upgrade, or howtoupgrade.txt, which is included in the firmware folder. New Features ============ 6.35.1.2:F1 Improved Axis Zipstream technology for PTZ cameras. 6.35.1.2:F2 Improved Zipstream using dynamic frame rate. 6.35.1.2:F3 Support for ONVIF Profile G. 6.35.1.2:F4 Product uses a built-in laser that provides focus reference point for instant focus in challenging lighting conditions and in complete darkness. Known Bugs/Limitations ====================== 6.35.1.2:L1 The "Max exposure time" is not available as setting to choose on camera settings page on this product even though the help file states differently. 6.35.1.2:L2 RTSP over TCP may cause choppy video if block size is not optimized or set during video connection. 6.35.1.2:L3 Using speed dry can momentarily show the area behind a privacy mask. 6.35.1.2:L4 When running continuous recording to a large storage it's possible that the cache in the camera fills up. Due to that ONVIF Profile G adds more data this may fill up faster. There are a number of workarounds: - Shorten the retention time - Stop and restart the recording in intervals - Restart the camera 6.35.1.2:L5 Setting up events with short pre/post and a low FPS may result in empty recordings. Extend the recording or increase the FPS to avoid this. This is a result of a fix for 80565 "Recording audio + video with a low fps and a long GOV creates unusable recordings" 6.35.1.2:L6 If using Zipstream when using pan/tilt the image may become pixelated and with low quality. 6.35.1.2:L7 Using identical start and stop time for a scheduled event will never trigger an event. 6.35.1.2:L8 Some special UTF-8 characters can not be used for privacy mask names.
