Axis network cameras star on HBO's "The Wire"

Axis has been working with the critically acclaimed HBO series "The Wire," www.hbo.com/thewire/, in the desire for authenticity in this very real life crime drama set in Baltimore. Tom Farmer, the technical coordinator of the show reached out to Axis acknowledging its preeminence in the network camera surveillance market.

"It validates both the story line and the technology to be able to use real tools in front of the camera. It has been intriguing to find that "The Wire" has an incredibly devoted audience in law enforcement and entertainment production that actually Tivo the show to inspect it with freeze-frame accuracy," says Tom Farmer, Film Electronics Coordinator, The Wire Productions.

"The Wire" can be seen on HBO, Sunday nights at 9:00 pm.
