AXIS Audio Analytics, designed for areas with moderate noise levels, uses AI to detect sounds such as screams, shouts, and breaking glass. Recognizing these sound patterns enables alerts to security personnel, who can quickly assess potential violence, harassment, or unauthorized entry attempts. With adaptive audio detection, it also triggers alarms in response to sudden volume spikes. When paired with video analytics, it provides additional confirmation of what’s happening in a scene.
Safeguard privacy – by default
With the audio stream off, AXIS Audio Analytics still allows you to receive alerts and track sound events, as only metadata is extracted from the video. Audio streaming is turned off by default to protect privacy, and you can easily switch it on or off as needed. This gives you control over audio access while keeping things simple.
Effective glass break detection
AXIS Audio Analytics detects glass break sounds from most types of glass – such as annealed, heat-strengthened, laminated, and fully tempered – within 10 meters in open spaces. Unlike most window sensors that only detect attempts to open windows, glass break detection is highly effective during the act of breaking or shattering glass. Alerts are sent instantly, helping safeguard your property and assets.
