Radar speed signs – also called driver feedback signs – are highly effective at getting drivers to slow down. AXIS Radar Integration for Microbus is a free software application that connects an Axis radar or radar-video fusion camera to a speed sign from Microbus AB. When used with AXIS Speed Monitor, the application can also provide data collected by the radar for analysis.
Deter speeding
Preventing speeding is an important part of avoiding accidents and keeping citizens safe. AXIS Radar Integration for Microbus lets you easily connect your Axis radar to a compatible digital speed sign from Microbus to display the speed of each passing vehicle. This provides drivers with important feedback that can encourage them to stay within the speed limit.
Collect data
Employed in combination with AXIS Speed Monitor, AXIS Radar Integration for Microbus lets you access data collected by the radar about the numbers, speed, and direction of vehicles, and so on via your integrated video management system (VMS). Collected data can be used to create comprehensive graphical overviews that can provide actionable insights into conditions on the monitored road. Add a camera to the system and speed measured by the radar can be visualized in the camera feed.
How it works
AXIS Radar Integration for Microbus provides secure device paring through IP over ethernet, connecting the Axis radar and the Microbus speed sign. You can place the Axis radar separately from the speed sign and configure how speed is visualized to suit your needs.
AXIS Radar Integration for Microbus is compatible only with speed signs from Microbus AB.
