This classroom-based course gives you an introduction to cybersecurity as it applies to network video systems. Explore how relevant principles of risk management and system hardening apply to network video, and how to perform system hardening through security settings in Axis products as well as in AXIS Device Manager. Also, learn how encryption works and the principles for secure network communication through certificate management in AXIS Device Manager and Axis Device Manager Extend.

Course objectives:

After completing the four-course modules, participants will be familiar with: 

  • Be familiar with the Axis hardening guide and the baseline configuration
  • Be able to configure camera settings to minimize the risk of a cybersecurity attack
  • Understand different protection levels depending on system size and needs
  • Be familiar with encryption methods
  • Understand what a digital certificate is, how to secure communication using certificates, and how to use AXIS Device Manager for certificate management
