Providing both at the door - or centralized multi-door controllers, it’s easy to scale your access control solution. Whether you want to start with access control for a single building and later expand it to your entire complex – or you just want to control access to a single elevator, Axis has a range of network door controller to meet your needs. For instance, you can start with standalone access control and later on integrate with other software systems.

Flexible installation

These smart door controllers include everything needed to control your doors—all powered by one PoE cable. Our edge-based door controllers can internally handle all tasks related to door access—even if the network is down. We also offer multidoor controllers to control multiple doors at once. Ideal for new and retrofit installations, they’re designed for centralized installations with Axis and third-party cabinets, for instance, in security rooms or main controller rooms. These powerful, all-in-one multi-door controllers offer complete control for up to eight doors with onboard support for up to 16 OSDP readers and 16 powerful locks.

Reliable and secure

Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform, safeguards the device and protects sensitive information from unauthorized access. It also ensures cryptographic keys are safely and securely stored in the onboard EAL6+ Certified compute module. Axis network door controllers are Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) Verified to ensure secure bidirectional communication. Additionally, they offer flexible and secure authentication using different types of credentials such as card or PIN codes, Bluetooth and dynamic QR codes for visitor access, and license plates for vehicle access. What’s more, multi-factor authentication ensures enhanced security.

Axis network door controllers offer true openness, meaning you’re free to use them with Axis software, or with open-standard hardware or software from the supplier of your choice. And because they’re built on an open platform, you can integrate your access control solution with a long list of systems and solutions. For instance, you can integrate with your video management solution and send an alert to turn on a camera when someone props open a door. Or integrate it with your time and attendance system.
