AXIS P1468-XLE Explosion-Protected Bullet Camera
Certified for Zone and Division 2
Deep learning-based analytics
Excellent video quality with 4K at 60 fps
Detailed images in any light conditions
Impact- and weather-resistant
There are a number of regulations for explosion protection certification in different parts of the world. Always ensure that the product's certification matches that of your installation's requirements.
This sturdy 4K camera is the world’s first explosion-protected camera designed for Zone/Division 2. Ideal for health and safety applications as well as operational efficiency, it supports deep-learning based analytics that run on the edge.
A camera that’s fit for its purpose
Designed and certified for Zone and Division 2 hazardous locations (Zone 2,22 and Class I/II/III Division 2 according to ATEX/IECEx/cULus), this multitasking camera provides many benefits within health and safety applications as well as operational efficiency. For instance, smoke alert analytics monitors for signs of smoke or fire in potentially combustible environments. In operational efficiency applications, it can help increase efficiency, maintain peak operability, and maximize uptime. For instance, you can gain deeper understanding and awareness by creating an advanced data-driven sensory network that integrates with existing sensors and systems.
Deep learning-based analytics run on the edge
Built on ARTPEC-8, it includes a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) enabling advanced features and powerful analytics that run on the edge. For instance, by connecting the camera to the process control system and continuously monitoring a process, you can fine-tune the process in real-time to maximize throughput. Plus, you’ll be able to extract and send metadata, which can be used for trend monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Excellent image quality day or night
AXIS P1468-XLE offers outstanding 4K resolution at up to 60 fps. Thanks to Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR, it delivers true colors and great forensic detail in challenging light or near darkness. And, with a large 1/1.2" sensor it ensures great light sensitivity. OptimizedIR enables surveillance in total darkness up to 40 m (131 ft) without the need for extra lighting. Plus, motion-adaptive exposure reduces the motion blur from approaching or nearby objects. Furthermore, Zipstream with support for H.264 and H.265 significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality.
Secure and sturdy in hazardous areas
Compact and lightweight in design, this explosion-protected camera is easy to install. It offers built-in cybersecurity features to help prevent unauthorized access and safeguard your system. For instance, Axis Edge Vault protects your Axis device ID and simplifies authorization of Axis products on your network. Furthermore, this sturdy, impact-resistant camera is IP66/67, NEMA 4X, and IK10-rated for protection against dust, rain, snow, and impacts. Plus, it can withstand winds up to 50 m/s.

Axis explosion-protected cameras are certified for installation in environments with both gas and dust. Certifications may differ according to country. See all certifications for a product on its datasheet.
There are three explosion-protection classification schemes in the world. A product can be certified to either one or even all three different schemes.
For North America, the Class Division or the Class Zone scheme can be used. A number of NRTLs (National Recognized Test Laboratories), accredited by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), can issue certificates under their own name upon successful examination and testing according to relevant UL, FM or CSA standards. Some of these are UL, MET, FM and CSA; each of these will give access to the North American market.
The rest of the world uses the IEC Zone system. A National Certifying Body (NCB) from any participating country in the IEC CB Scheme will issue a certificate upon successful examination and testing according to the IEC 60079 standards, giving market access to all participating countries, with a few exceptions (typically installation instructions in the local language, specific marking requirements etc). Here, the name of the certifying body is irrelevant, it’s the name of the legal framework that gives the certification its name. These include:
ATEX
Mandatory certification for installations within EU, but also accepted in other parts of the world. Products tested against EN 60079 and certified for use in hazardous locations according to ATEX Equipment Directive 2014/34/EU.
IECEx
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in hazardous locations. The international IEC 60079 standard is widely accepted in Asia-Pacific, Africa and Australia.
PESO
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in hazardous locations according to Indian regulations.
IA
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in hazardous locations in South Africa.
INMETRO
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in hazardous locations in Brazil.
EAC
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in hazardous locations in the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan shall bear the EAC (EuroAsian Conformity) mark.
KCs
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in hazardous locations in South Korea.
JPEx
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in hazardous locations in Japan.
OSHA(TW)
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in Taiwan.
CCC
Products tested against IEC 60079 and certified for use in China.
